Senior Analyst : Human Resources Employee Relations Requisition ID 8708BR Work Location Lubbock Org Level 1 Texas Tech University Campus Texas Tech University Department Human Resources Position Description Performs professional level analysis and control functions in area of assignment. Major/Essential Functions Develops and implements employee relations practices, policies, and programs that support a high performance campus culture by establishing clear expectations, providing feedback, and encouraging productive behavior. Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations. Provides front line employee relations support to campus units. Serves as a link between management and employees by addressing questions, interpreting issues, and helping resolve work:related concerns. Coaches individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their job performance or professional relationships in the workplace. Stays up:to:date on all federal, state, and university:related laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of human resources principles and practices. Knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, and agency rules. Oral and written comprehension and expression skills. Active listening. Deductive/inductive reasoning and critical thinking. Judgment and Decision Making. Occasional Duties Develops and delivers dynamic management training as it relates to personnel policy and law, performance management, and talent support. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field. Three (3) years related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven years. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Management, or business related area plus three years experience related to the assigned area. Professional in Human Resources Certification /SHRM:CP. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time. Ability to bring others together to reconcile differences.
