Job Description:/h3:
Responsibilities: The
Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Administration will work under the supervision of the Dean of the School of Business. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses face:to:face and online in undergraduate and graduate programs. As a faculty member of WBU, this individual will represent the Universitys spiritual emphasis to students, faculty, staff, and the community in a manner consistent with the Universitys mission and purpose. Nine month contract with 24 (twenty:four) semester hours to be taught per year. Position is at the Plainview, TX campus.

Specific Tasks and Duties:
1. Teach courses in Business Administration primarily. Credentials to teach in one or more of the following areas is required: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Management Information Systems. Teaching responsibilities will be face:to:face and online. May also teach other courses as overloads if needed and desired
2. Contribute to curriculum and program development, textbook selection, and institutional effectiveness design, implementation and reporting
3. Advise undergraduate and graduate students
4. Serve on School and University committees.
5. Engage in professional development activities
6. Engage in School of Business recruiting and retention initiatives
7. Maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and general constituency of the University
8. Participate in faculty meetings, graduation ceremonies, and service appropriate to the university faculty member
9. Have a presence on the Plainview campus five days a week and have regularly scheduled office hours for student visits.

Education, Certification and License:
The candidate must have an earned doctorate in business administration or closely related field.
Experience and Knowledge:
Previous collegiate teaching experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to teach courses as assigned in face:to:face, hybrid, and online delivery methods
2. Willingness to work cooperatively and collegially with faculty in all areas of work of the School of Business
3. Willingness to participate in planning, assessment, and teaching/learning improvement initiatives within the School of Business and in the university as a whole
4. An interest in teaching at a university where teaching excellence is highly valued
5. A strong Christian commitment to be involved in the life of the university with students, faculty, and staff
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. Proficiency in Microsoft office and willingness to become proficient in classroom technology and Blackboard.
