IT Support Technician Purpose Statement Bring value by serving our customers, providing technology to help them become more efficient and improve their quality of life (IT Service Values). Essential Job Functions Proactively find new ways to make our employees more fruitful and productive. Provide an extremely high level of service by recognizing problems and addressing them in a timely manner. Setup, troubleshoot, and maintain all company hardware and software. Maintain inventory levels for computer equipment including supplies and accessories and ensure computer and network working environments are organized and professional looking. Find new ways to monitor our systems to ensure we know about issues before our users know. Continually seek out new systems and technologies which better align with our business processes. Document our systems and networks to ensure business continuity. Qualifications Ability to provide efficient and professional response to users at all levels of the organization and translate technical knowledge into actionable direction. Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively. Proven troubleshooting skills coupled with diagnostic, and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal, written and time management skills and exhibit a professional demeanor at all times. Quickly adapt to changes in technology and attend regular continuing technical education webinars to maintain knowledge level. Working knowledge of the following: o Computer network design, implementation and security. o Servers and Virtualization in an enterprise environment. o Deployment of client software and hardware in an enterprise environment. o Deployment of mobile devices in an enterprise environment. Competencies Customer Focus Initiative Problem-solving / Analysis Organizational Skills Decision-making Preferred Education and Experience Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems or Pre-Engineering. 2 or more years of experience as an IT Support Technician (or similar role). Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work in temperature controlled environment Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation. Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch. Effective communication skills when dealing with co-workers, trade partners, and home owners. Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist. Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to lift 30-50 pounds. Ability to safely drive a motor vehicle.
